After earning an MBA, Scott took his first recruiting job in 1996, working for an engineering and technology staffing agency. He went on to work for a creative-industry staffing firm, before entering the corporate side of recruiting. As an in-house corporate recruiter, he climbed the ladder to manage recruitment for several billion-dollar global companies, overseeing contract recruiters, guiding the hiring of executive-level and line employees and leading interview and evaluation efforts for multiple department restructurings. Additionally, Scott has worked with companies to develop strategic initiatives including college recruitment programs, relocation policies, interview training guides and recruitment training programs. He has also managed college internship programs and recruitment branding campaigns.

Scott has earned the Certified Professional Résumé Writer (CPRW) and Certified Professional Career Coach (CPCC) designations from the Professional Association of Résumé Writers & Career Coaches. CPRWs and CPCCs undergo specialized training and must demonstrate knowledge, talent and writing expertise. They are required to maintain a level of excellence in serving clients’ career interests. He also holds membership with the National Association of Résumé Writers.
