Here are three simple job hunting tips for you to begin your week!
- Should you really reply to that blind advertisement for a job, where it doesn’t specify the company posting the position? Think long and hard – you may be applying to your own company; be sure you’d be okay with them seeing that you are applying to jobs.
- If you need to have a cigarette before that interview, try to plan ahead. Do so with enough time in advance of your interview so that you don’t bring the smell of the tobacco in with you. Lighting up in your closed car just before an interview means you’ll smell like a pack of Lucky Strikes when you meet with the recruiter.
- Use a cover letter when sending a resume for a job. Yes, it still matters.
